Modular Patterns

Everything in consensus reality has a pattern. Psychologically or physically, there are threads that interconnect between this web of reality.

In regards to web development, these patterns are primarily appearance based or infrastructure based. The code behind how you appear and how you function in your digital domain.

In the front-end, this comes about visually through layouts, color theory, typography, etc. There are also ways to build upon visual design with intentional user experience. It is typically implemented through structuring importance, guiding the eye, or through an understanding of the user journey.

Given this context, knowing that it can be changed is particularly empowering. If something isn't working, change it. If you don't like the direction, switch your approach. Just be aware that the sum of a website's parts makes up the whole or even more so, and they all must cohesively work together to amplify what you are doing.

As a summation, developing a website is never static and you have the freedom to choose something different at any given point in time. Code blocks can be reused and repurposed. Nothing is static, everything is moving.
